St John’s Church, Byley

St John's Byley

St John's is the Parish Church for the village of Byley: it is attached to St Michael’s Church, Middlewich and Our Clergy and Readers service both parishes.

Byley is a small village with a school, a village hall and the Church.  The Church was built as a commissioners’ church with money provided by the Government following the Napoleonic Wars, and begun in 1846 to a design probably by J Matthews. The historian Pevsner had a low opinion of its looks, but everyone who visits comments on the lovely feeling you get when you worship there!

The small but faithful congregation keep the Church well cared for and financially sound.

You will always find a warm welcome.

Services are weekly at 11.00 am.

All enquiries for weddings, baptisms and funerals should go through the Parish office

or through the Rector.
