The village Church attached to St Michael’s Middlewich.

Byley is a small village with a school, a village hall and the Church.  The Church was built as a commissioners’ church with money provided by the Government following the Napoleonic Wars, and begun in 1846 to a design probably by J Matthews.  Pevsner called it “really very ugly” which is a little rude we think because everyone

who visits comments on the lovely feeling you get when you worship there!

The small but faithful congregation keep the Church well cared for and financially sound.

You will always find a warm welcome.

Services are weekly at 11.00 am.

All enquiries for weddings, baptisms and funerals should go through the parish office
